Contact us

This special area for the protection of natural habitats covers the upper Rospuda River and nine ribbon lakes the river flows through. Fourteen Nature 2000 habitats were found here. The most precious of them are: water habitats (including river water-crowfoot communities), raised peat bogs and alkaline peat bogs, coniferous swamps and xerothermic grasslands. ”Parchacz Swamp” is home to rare and endangered plant species that grow in wetlands, including  fen orchid and varnished hook-moss. The whole area covers  4070,69 hectares.
