Jonas Černiauskas started building the oil mill in 1925, and three years later the first drops of oil were already dripping. However, the old J. Černiauskas did not engage in this business and, leaving the oil to his son Vincas, he once again went to America in search of happiness. The work at the oil mill was seasonal, it was open only in spring and autumn, but there were no more oil mills in this region, so during the season the workers had to work both day and night. So many people came that they had to wait for their turn for several days. Oil was pressed from linseed, rapeseed, and camelina seeds. After the death of the oil mill owner, his son Mykolas took over his business. During the war, a residential house, a barn, and a cowshed burned down, only an oil mill was left. The oil press also operated in the post-war years, but it became more and more difficult to work, and after the creation of a collective farm, the oil mill had to be closed due to prohibitions. Thanks to the caring owners, all the technological equipment has been preserved inside the oil mill.
