The hillfort dates back to the 1 st millennium. Remains of the former settlement were found in the northeastern foothills: overburnt stones, clay plaster. On the south side, the mound is surrounded by a swampy part of the lake, on the other sides, it is separated from the neighboring high fields by natural, in places gray hollows. The purpose of all mounds was similar - a hiding place from attackers for the people living at the foothills. This mound is heavily damaged and one of the reasons may be that treasure hunters hoped to find hidden values here. It is said that there is a sunken church in the mound, from which on St. Easter morning, the bells are heard ringing.
