The Mačiūnai hillfort dates back to the 1 st millennium - the beginning of the 2 nd millennium. The Maciunai Hill, called the Brides Hill, stands next to the hillfort. According to a legend, wedding guests once travelled to Prienai past it. The bride wanted to stop here and hid behind the hill. The bridal party searched for her for a long time, calling her, however, she never appeared.
